I searched the previous posts, yet couldn’t find what ball_r and ball_l
represent in Scaling.
Scaling rules use the ball to scale the foot segment.
It is a trivial question; however, I couldn’t match “ball” with
anthropometric names.
Is the “ball” part of the foot segment? If so, how is it defined and
measured?
The ball if the distal part of the foot, so the mass of the foot is found as
the sum of the foot and ball mass. Currently the ball is not a separate
segment but this division holds this possibility open. So we could have used
only the foot mass parameter.
