# I have some questions

Hello This is Boo

I am writing to ask a few more questions about Anybody Program.

I am university student in engineering major . I and my friends are doing project in this semester.
I will explain What we are working on
We have been trying to figure out what the best posture with driving as using Anybody.
What our plan is that we are going to change angle of modeling arm with holding steering wheel.
Then we will expect that how much force works on the arm.
In oreder to achieve our project we need to handle with Anybody.
Unfortunately, we are not good at using Anybody.
We have finished designing a car inside modeling by using CAD program.

To do our purpose, We are studying wheelchair in demo.

We got some questions. We don’t know the function of Anyvar

AnyVar AxleX = 0.165; // Forward/backward dist from pelvis to axle
AnyVar SeatY = 0.17; // Seat height
AnyVar AxleZ = 0.0; // Half width between wheels
AnyVar WheelRad = 0.305; // Radius of the wheel
AnyVar PushRimRad = 0.305; // Radius of the pushrim
AnyVar PushRimDist = 0.0; // Distance from wheel to pushrim
// Movement of the wheels
AnyVar StartPos = -10; // Start angle in degrees.
AnyVar Vel = 1.0; // Forward velocity of the wheelchair in m/s

``````AnyVar WheelMoment = 10;    // Moment on each of the wheels
``````

I am wondering How to work Anyvar on Anybody program

We know that we control scale through Anyvar.
For example If we increase WheelRad , It would be bigger.

What I am wondering is how AnybodyProgram recognize Anyvar point to WheelRad . Where can we declare something like ‘AxleX, AxleY’ and etc?

And Is there any reference or exaple that similar to our project ?

I would really appreciate if you give us ansewers and suggestions for our project.

Have a nice day~

Best regards

Boo

Hello Boo,

As you have probably seen The AnyBody Modelling System has his own scripting language. It is object oriented. So AnyVar is the declaration of an object of the class AnyVar, this is basically a variable. Those variable are then typicaly used somewhere else in the script for the definition of the length of an object, position of a point, etc.

Unfortunatly i cannot explain everything in a message. I suggest you read the tutorials at http://www.anybodytech.com/fileadmin/AnyBody/Docs/Tutorials/main/main.html
That will give you a good overview of the system and answer most of the basic questions.

Best regards, Sylvain.
