Measure of Forces/Moments in an area with no Joint?

Hello all,

I would like to know whether there might be an opportunity of measuring a force/moment in a point or an area when there is no certain joint in exactly this area defined?
As an example i want to measure a force between the Radius bone and a single carpal bone in the wrist.
The carpal bone is driven by data points received from CT-measures.
So in fact, there IS an existing joint (consisting of an AnyKinLinear and an AnyKinRotational) between radius and the carpal which is driven by a driver.
But this joint is actually situated in the Center of Mass (CoM) of the carpal, whereas I would like to know the force in the space BETWEEN Radius and the carpal.
So does someone know any possibility for such a force measure? Like a “force sensor” or s.th. like that to be placed where it is needed?

Thank you,
Benni

Hi Benni,

Please have a look at the AnyForceMomentMeasure and AnyForceMomentMeasure2 i think this will do this for you. In you look it up in the manual you will find a small sample in the bottom of the description.
