Model driven by motion capture data

Hi,

I have attached a recent model that I have been working on trying to
drive with motion capture data (Wheelchair - driven by kinematics zip
file). I have been having problems with underconstraining and
overconstraining the model. I think I am really close to driving the
model completely, however again, things aren’t entirely matched up.
Is it possible that you take a look at the zipped file and help me
work through this problem? All of the necessary information should be
there, maybe only commented out, but there nonetheless.

Thank you for your time,
Sarah

Hi Sarah

I have made some changes in the wheel chair model and i think there is balance
in the dof account now, but the model will not run yet. I have uploaded a new
file and made changes in JointAndDrivers.any and Environment.any please search
for AnyBodysup to find the locations.

In the environment.any file the wheel had no joints and driver so i added those
in again

In the JointsAndDivers. any file there are numerous changes i have added back in
a joint drivers for the SC, PS and wrist joints, this i have done to make it
easier to make the model run. Later on each of these driver can be replaced by
maker drivers, but this should be done in small steps one dof at the time to
maintain a working model.

A general problem with the markers drivers is that they need to be more
descriptive em and el i think are too close and describe the same kind of
motion.

I think it will be a good idea to look at the gait webcast slides they can be
found at, try to see the system in the selection of the dof each maker drivers,
we have tried to find the most descriptive df for ach marker.

you need to log in to see these pages…

As the next step i would add more joint drivers and remove marker drivers until
it runs, then add the marker drivers back in step by step, always keeping the
same amount of drivers.

Best regards
