The following two graphs are the power of the rectus femoris on the knee joint and the power of the hamstring muscle on the hip joint. Why are the two peaks different and shouldn't they be cyclical? These results are from the AMMR Plug-in-gait_Simple model. Thank you in advance.
I am not sure they are supposed to be same and cyclic.
The power is a function of velocity and force, so to understand this better i would start plotting activations, and joint motion.
Thank you for your reply. I calculated the moment of a single muscle to the joint according to the method you provided. Then multiplied by the joint speed to get the power. I think maybe the power is not cyclic.
