Supprot Positions

Hi, We work with a copy of the FreePostureMove model and we introduce
the movement with external files .txt.(movement poses, loads,
anthropometrie, etc). We have had an important developpe for it.
We want to simulate support positions, as be seated, with this model.
We thinked that we could introduce 2 forces in the hip (right and left)
with the trunk weight (about 25 kg in each hip).
We are not sure that the model have a correct behaviour.
How can we do to simulate these positions?

I send you a file with a photograph with the position that we want
simulate.
What do you advise us?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Raul

I do not think it is a good idea to apply a specified amount of load to the
model like the 25 kg on each side of the hip. It would be better to create a
real boundary conditions to a seat and let the model decide this load it
self, this is our normal approach. By applying a fixed load you are not sure
that it is realistic.

If you are looking for support conditions while seated please look at the
SeatedHuman model in our repository. This model has realistic boundary
conditions and also incorporates friction.

Best regards

Søren, AnyBody Support
