AnyBody to ANSYS

Hello!
My thesis group is following the Anybody tutorial 13, lesson 2 to import an Anybody animation to be analysed in ANSYS.
My question is, how do we upload our stl file to ANSYS apdl?
Also, how can we reduce the number of surfaces?

Thank you for your time!

Hi Sofia,

You need to mesh your STL into a finite element mesh in a format supported by ANSYS first. ANSYS Fluent software is normally used for this purpose. You can write an APDL script with your mesh that can be included into your analysis. There are also a number of other FE meshing software that could produce compatible files.

Pavel
