Hi,
my purpose would be to insert the bar as object in the model and not
as segment.
I would like that you helped me to position it in the correct way, so
that it moves, attached to the hands and solidly with them, without
attributing it some drivers.
is it possible to do this?
The correct way to add the bar to the model is to make a bar segment
with drivers on, and attach the hands to the bar.
The procedure you describe is not really possible i am afraid. In
theory you may use the command AnyDrawSurf to add a visible bar
directly to one of the hands. It will then move together with this
one hand. This will be graphics only and you can only connect the bar
with one of the hands in this way. Adding the bar visually in this
way will have no impact on the results from the model at all, the
model will not feel the bar. For details about adding an AnyDrawSurf
please see the reference manual or look in one of the environmet.any
files from the repository, for example the ArmCurl model.
I think you should consider the boundary conditions to your model.
There is a big difference in having to lift two individual masses or
one mass which connects the hands. In the latter case the model will
automatically make use of the reactions available between the hands.
I am sure that the two setups will lead to differences in the
results. If this is important or not depend on what the results
should be used for?
Best regards
