I have a query, I am currently running the mocap model for my own motion data. I need to change the orientation of force plates (FP) 1 & 2 270 degrees about the z axis, and divide the ground reaction forces of FP 5 by 2 (total of 5 FP’s). I believe this can be donr straight from the c3d before running my studies. However currently I do not have the skills to perform such a task. My model is attached, any help or simply pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
But could you tell us why you want to change the orientation of the force plate 1 and 2 by 270 degrees?
And why do you want to divide the ground reaction force of the force plate 5 by 2?
If you want to do those things without changing your force plate,
then you should prepare your own modified force plate class templates for individual force plates.
Thankyou for having a look, I want to change the force plate orientation due to technical issues with our AMTI force plates original orientation. Whilst they work for this model, I am worried for our future motion files and just incase we have an issue I wish to be able to change it. For the change in force, for this model our force plate sensitivity gain was set approximately double what it should be, thus for simplicity purposes I want to half the force; thus still retaining some sort of integrity of the data collected.
Attached please find the modified version of your model.
I managed to create a new force class template which allow you to do rotation and re-scaling of the force plate.
But you should check the force vector and the location of COP.
I could rotate the force plate 1 and 2.
But if your run the model with rotated force plate, then the COP will not be under the human foot. That is wrong.
