Hello Thomas,
Thanks for posting your question to the group.
I imagine you are using repository version 7, correct me if I am wrong.
The muscle files are in the different directories where the body parts are.
So you can find them in:
Body/AAUHuman/Arm
Body/AAUHuman/Leg
Body/AAUHuman/Leg2D
…
The file is (almost) always called Mus.any and contains AnyViaPointMuscle,
which define the insertion node, origin node and any via nodes. You can
simply comment out the complete AnyViaPointMuscle which models the muscle
you want removed. You will also have to remove this muscle from the
Calibration sequence. Those files are found in the same folder, but are
called ArmCalx.any, LegCalx.any, etc.
A simple way to do it is removing the Mus.any entry, and them simply fixing
the errors the loader is giving you by commenting those lines in the
calibration.
Regarding the movement, although it is true that the DOFs are not influenced
by the muscles, the solver might not find a solution to provide a force in a
certain DOF if no muscles are in the right orientation. So you have to be
careful in removing muscles. But all in all, you are right, removing muscles
shouldn’t present a big problem.
Hope this helps!
Jean-Olivier

Subject: [AnyScript] Elimination of Abductors
Hallo,
to simulate the situation after hip implantation, I want to eliminate
the abductor muscles from the FreePostureMove model. Unfortunately I
couldn’t find the muscle files. It should be in the Folder
of …\BRep\Aalborg\BodyModels\FullBodyModelNoMusclesInArms\BodyMod
el.any, right?
To eliminate a muscle, should I simply delete the muscle from the
muscle file or must I change something else? As th DOF are not
influenced by the muscles there should be no impact on this, am I right?
Thanks.
Best regards
Thomas
