Error: Unexpected exception in the library OOSol ...

Hi Søren,
Thank you for your information about how the external forces are
applied…
We have also clear how to change the euler angles now, but we have
problems with real cases.

We got the following error in many cases. The AnyBody stop in simple
poses and works OK in poses more complicated.

  1. Inverse dynamic analysis…
    ERROR(OBJ.LIB.OOS1) : D:__AnyBody_LEMUS_Rep6.1
    \BRep\Aalborg\Arm3D\Muscle.any
    (1246) : ‘pectoralis_major_thoracic_part_4.SPLine’ : Unexpected
exception in the library OOSol :
    OOSol exception : MISSING MESSAGE.

Sometime if we do not use loads the error appears but if we introduce
loads in hands then we do not get the error. We have done many proofs
but we do not know what is the problem …

We will try to send you an example of movement. We have put a load of
2 kg in each hand, but I also try without load and the error is the
same.

Thank you in advance,

Best regards,

Javier Marin

Hello.
There are some comments in message 918 that might help you with the
error you describe below. It did help me in a similar case (later it
turned out to be “user error” that was the root of the problem =).

Hi Javier and Jokke

Jokke is right; posting 918 is a good posting for solving this issue, this
error is related to the muscle wrapping.

Since this error is related to the muscle wrapping, it should not matter
what load the model is subjected to.

Are you sure that the errors you get at different loads are the same error?

When you add different loads to the model and it fails it sounds as a
balancing issue?, how is the model supported?

Best regards

Søren

Hi Søren,
Please, could you download the file Example_Movement.zip?
It is in Anyscript group files…

Thank you.

Best regards,
Javier Marin.

Hi Javier,

I followed exactly the steps described by John in the posting 918.
The first wrapping error came from the muscle
pectoralis_major_thoracic_part_4, by drawing the cylinder on which it
wraps I could see that the error does not occur because the muscle is
too close to the edge, actually the muscle stays perfectly on the
middle of the cylinder. So there was no point on making the cylinder
longer. That mean the solution is to increase slightly the StringMesh
(10 or 15 more points) of the muscle in the file
Body/Aalborg/Arm3D/Muscle.any, and it did solve it.
Then I saw that when the second wrapping error occurred for the
muscle pectoralis_major_thoracic_part_5, this muscle was also in a
good location on the cylinder, so the solution is again to increase
slightly the StringMesh. After that the model is working fine.

This is the method you have to use to solve the wrapping error you
could get further in your model.

Best regards,
Sylvain, AnyBody Support.
