Gait analysis, knee osteoarthritis, the center of pressure

hi dear anybody user
I am studying the effect of ankle foot orthosis on patients with knee osteoarthritis. To look at the impact of an orthosis on the center of pressure at the first peak of external knee adduction moment, I must calculate the distance between the center of pressure at this moment and the foot line to evaluate whether the orthosis can displace the center of pressure to the lateral direction.
I use a VICON motion capture system with a plug-in gait model to record movement. The problem is that I don’t know how to calculate the foot line to determine the distance between the center of pressure and the foot line.
Data exported from nexus software are the center of pressure and the trajectory of heel and toe markers at each moment.
Please help me to solve this problem.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Fatemeh,

I am sorry, I don't understand what exactly you mean by foot line. Could you please describe that and then I can help you understand how to calculate the distance.

Are you able to load your motion capture file in AnyBody?

Best regards,
Dave
