I am new to Anybody Modeling System. I would like to understand clearly on the Hard and Soft Kinematic Constraints. Kindly share relevant research articles regarding the same.

The short version is that soft constraints are constraints that the kinematic solver is able to violate if needed, while the hard constraints must be fulfilled.
