hello~!

Dear all,

  1. How could anybody convert STL files to SURF files? Which commands
    can carry it out ?
  2. To different postures, we can define different posture parameters in
Mannequin Folder. But how to get these position coordinates parameter
values to some posture model? By an anthropometer or other ways?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello Changwei Xu,

Q1: The conversion is done automatically if you use the AnyDrawSurf class.
It will use the provided .stl file and creates the .anysurf file. This will
be done once. If there’s an .anysurf file available it will be used
automatically. Using the AnyDrawStl class will use the .stl file directly
and will not convert it. Please see the Reference manual on page 227 for
full details.

Q2: You can use some anthrophometer to get posture values. But more accurate
would be the use of Motion Capture data. Then you could make a marker driven
model, see e.g. the Pendulum example in the tutorial or the WheelChair model
in the Repository.

Best regards,

Sebastian
