identify nodes in model view

Hi,

sometimes it is necessary to identify which node is at which location in the modelview. When AnyDrawNode is placed at the node definition and one moves with the mouse to the location of this node, the name of the node pops up. This is nice.

However, the AnyDraw node is only seldomly used in the Repositories, as this would not look nice to see hundreds of nodes. AnyDrawNodes (with s at the end) allows to draw all nodes of a certain segment if this is desired. However, when in this case one moves the mouse to a node, it is not the node’s name which pops up, but the segment’s name, i. e. this method is not suitable for node identification.

Is there an easy way to find out where a not is located in ModelView or must i really place AnyDrawNode after every node definition when i want to identify some nodes?

Thanks and kind regards,

Thomaz

Hi Thomaz,

Thanks for your opinion about AnyDrawNodes. We already know the same issue from other feedback.
Of course some of users may agree to your opinion, but we have not determined anything about how we will improve this AnyDrawNodes object yet.

So for your question, you should put AnyDrawNode in each AnyRefNode individually if you want to distinguish them.

I’m sorry if my answer is not helpful to you.

Best regards,
Moonki
