Hello Moonki,
I am still sitting at the spring-damper-connection.
The solution you have suggested to me worked fine but it needs a rotation.
In my case I have just a translational motion so the damper creates no force.
I’ve tried to use a prismatic joint instead of a resolute joint.
But now the inverese dynamic fails and I have not really an idea how to solve the problem.
The picture in the attachement is the same as in the last questioning-message and describes the problem.
I hope you are able to help me again.
Best regards,
Stephan
Hi Stephan,
Unfortunately, if you don’t have any meaningful velocity from a certain DOF because of FDK , then I would say that it is not feasible to create a damping force with FDK.
Sorry for not very helpful answer.
Best regards,
Moonki
Hello Moonki,
I just trying something else. I dropped the strategy to solve the problem with FDK.
Instead I use a combination of a prismatic joint and the definition of a line between two measure-points as you have to suggested to me for the damper.
I use two different lines for the spring and the damper just for safety.
Right now it seems to work fine, I hope it stays stable.
Keep your fingers crossed for me :D.
I report to you if there is something new.
Best regards,
Stephan
