Muscles Activity

Hi,
Can you explain me the difference between what you are calling “Force”,
and “Strength” because as I’am French, the definition seems to be the
same for both.
In fact, I’m working with the muscle activity, so I need to understand
the exact definition. In the tutorial, it is simply defined as muscle
force divided by strength.
I guess strength is a muscle property, so can you tell me how I can
modify it in my model?

I recorded the maximum force for a mouvement in the 3 directions, So
can I fix the MaxMuscleActivity to 100% to find some muscles properties
with AnyBody (maybe like strength)?

Sorry, for such questions,
Thank you,

Best Regards,
Franck

Hi Franck

There is a difference between the two. The muscle strength is a muscle
parameter, or it is actually a result of different parameters. I guess
you can say that it is a measure for how strong the muscle is at a
given position, i.e. the maximum force that the muscle can pull with.
The force is then how much the muscle actually pulls at a given time.
So the activity, which is force/strength is a measure of how much the
muscle is activated with respect to how strong it is.
Hope that helped you a bit.

Best regards
Christian, AnyBody Support
