Points change position during static analysis

I am doing a simple static analysis with a single time point and I am
interested in some point locations on the humerus. When I look at the
point locations after loading the model and then after running the
inverse dynamic analysis, the point locations change slightly. Why
would these change if the posture is static?

Chris

Hi Chris,

The slightly change you see is due to the update of the initial
positions. You know the segments are initially placed in the space at
a guessed position of the real one before the system resolves the
kinematics constrains. Even if this guess on the initial position is
exact for almost all the segments, some of them like the spine are
more difficult to define because of the rhythm. That is why you can
see this small jump at the beginning of an analysis. But it does not
affect at all the analysis, your posture is still static. It is just
a normal update at load time.
