Questions about Sit-To-Stand model

Hi, I’m Sungwoo Park from South Korea. I posted some questions last
time, and your tips and answers were a lot helpful to my study. I
really appreciated that. Thank you.

I have another questions about my Sit-To-Stand model for this time.
I succeeded to make the model, and the kinematic analysis was also
successful. But I failed to analyze InverseDynamic data. I guess
there might be some problems with muscles because the error message
was like this : Muscle recruitment analysis failed, simplex solver
reports that solution does not satisfy all constraints.

I already checked messages that people who got the similar problem
with mine posted on the board, but I could not find the solution. So,
I posted my Anyscript file on the ‘files’ board
named “LowerExtremity2”.
I will be very appreciated again if you could check my file and give
some advices for me to analyze InverseDynamic data.

Thank You.

Sincerely,

Sungwoo Park

Hi Sungwoo Park,

The problem is with the Gluteus muscle. It is supposed to be an extensor
muscle for the trunk. But the muscle is actually spanning on the wrong side
of the Trunk-Thigh joint. So the muscle is becoming flexor regarding to the
trunk, and there in nothing to carry the extension. You have to either
insert a via point or modify the insertion point of the muscle to make it go
on the good side of the joint.

Best regards,

Sylvain, AnyBody Support
