stress in tibia

Dear sir
Â
I’m very pleased to send you this letter wishing you all best, I’m a research
student and I’m interesting in "stress analysis of tibia by using ansys’’
Â
Â
I attached all the step that I doing on my model to get the result .I need to
check if this step is right and the result is good and what I must do to improve
my result.
Â
I will give a brief description about my work
Â

  1. Solid tibia with two ends as cortical  and medullary canal as shown in fig 1
  2. Solid model with mesh tet I take  element type is brick solid45 and no… of
    element 23154 , material properties is EX = 17.2e3 N/mm2 and prxy=…3 as shown
    in fig 2
    3. Fix end of tibia as shown in fig 3
    4. Selected area at the proximal end to apply load as shown in fig 4
  3. Node at selected area for apply load as shown in fig 5
  4. Apply load at the node 1400 N as shown in fig 6 and 7
  5. tibia with apply load and fix end as shown in fig 8
  6. Result node solu  of stress von misses as shown in fig 9
    Â
    I am waiting for advises/recommendations.
    Â
    Finally, thank you very much.
    Â
    Kind regards.Â

Hi Mahmood,

The documents attached to the message are blocked, you have to upload the
files in the file section of the group.

However I understand that your work and your present question are about
finite elements. The AnyBody Modelling System does not make finite elements
analysis. We are using multibody dynamic and the main output of the
simulation is muscle forces.

So our relation with finite elements is that we can provide the boundary
conditions for a finite element analysis of a bone (joint reaction forces
and muscle forces). But we are not in the position to advise you on the FE
modelling of the bone itself.

Best regards,

Sylvain, AnyBody Support
