The Operation window allows double-clicking on an item to dump all data
into the message window. Although this feature can be useful to some, I am
sure, there are currently no way in which we can stop such dumps. When a
model is fairly big and you double click by accident, it can take several
minutes (10?) to complete dumping. It uses all computer resources and is
unstoppable, except by killing the application or waiting the 10 minutes.
Would it be possible to have a “stop dump” button within the
Message/Operation window?

It is actually already possible to stop the dump …
If you right click on the reportview window where the text is being
dumped to. You can select to break the dump.
