I want to know how to calculate the supporting moment in Anybody. Winter mentioned support moments in the article "Overall principle of lower limb support during stance phase of gait". He said that the support moment is the joint moment generated by the hip, knee extensors and ankle plantar flexors in the sagittal plane. Thank you in advance.
I am not sure i understand the question completely.
what could be done in this line would be to run a model with out the upper body and then read out the residual force + moment between pelvis and the world. Would this be what you need?
One problem doing this would be to exclude the spine from the model, this is not so easy, we do not have a built in option to just have pelvis and below.
Thank you for your reply. Can I find out the extensors of the hip, knee and ankle, and then use AnyForceMomentMeasure2 to find the extensors through ObjSearch to calculate? Thanks again.
