The value of kneeflexormuscleforces is negative?

Hi,

I was confusing that why these kneeflexormuscleforce(hipextensor,hipadductor,...) in the secletedoutput of human model is negative. Isnot muscle force always postive? what is the definition here? Thanks a lot.

Hi

The muscle force here a summation of the force the muscle creates on the mechanical system, this is why it is reported negative here. The negative value comes because the muscles are always pulling.

If you look at the eg. the file RightLegSelectedOutput.any and replaced .Fout in the search terms with Ft it would become positive.
