unresolved object

Hi!

After reading and searching, finally I ask if you can help…
Trying to use the Arm3D of the BRep, in order to study the shoulder,
i’ve got this problem :

" …\AddOnOutsideBlockForKinematics.any(14) : ThoraxSegRef :
Unresolved object."

The file used to define the shoulder is in the BRep : ShoulderArm.Root.Any

Any idea?

Thanks

yoann

Hi Yoann

This message means that the shoulder makes a reference to the
thorax, and it seems not to be present in the right way in this
model.

The easiest way to use the shoulder model is to also have the spine
model present in the model. In principle it is possible to attach
the shoulder directly to an environment node, but since for example
the lattissimus dorsi attaches to the vertebras other segments have
to be defined as well.

So i would recommend to use one of the predefined body collections
in the repository. In the folder BRep/Aalborg/BodyModels
you can find the folder SpineNoMusclesRightArm. This is a model of
the spine and the right arm. In this model the spine has no muscles
attached in this model, but uses joints drivers.

This body model is normally included from the main file in the
following way:

#include “…\BRep\Aalborg\BodyModels\SpineModelRightArm\BodyMo
del.any”

It is easiest if you use one of the models in Arep/Aalborg as
template for your main file.

Please do not hesitate to ask again if you have further questions.

Best regards

Hi Soren,
half the day I was looking for the place to blank the coord.system and
the only one I didn´t try was the one you told me. Now it works, thank
you very much. Sometimes I get a failure message “unresolved object”,
even in unchanged repository files. What can I do with an unresolved
object to solve it? Another thing is that I can´t blank all markers.
The ones in the DraSettings I´ve found, but in the backside muscles
there are still blue markers which don´t dissapear. To avoid surching
half a day again I ask immediately. Where can I find them? Best
regards, Maren.

Hi Maren

The unresolved objects errors are objects which the compiler can not
find when the model is loaded, i guess you know this already.

In the message window it will display an error message, if you click
on the file name displayed you will automatically jump to the location
of the problem.

You say that some models do this even with unchanged repository files,
which repository are you using? and which models will do taht?

The blue markers comes along with the BRep models you may switch them
off visually by setting the Marker.Radius =0 in the Drawsettings.any
file.

Hi Soren,
the unresolved object appears in the ARepAalborg/StandingModelMove
when I exclude
“…\BRep\Aalborg\BodyModels\FullBodyModel\BodyModel.any” and
include
“…\BRep\Aalborg\BodyModels\FullBodyModel\BodyModel_NoMuscles.any”
from two rows above.
My ambition is to get a model where only the bones can be seen, to
demonstrate the movement of the shoulder girdle when the arm elevates
more than 90°. Best regards, Maren.

Hi Maren

I have made the changes you have tried, but i do not get the
unresovled object errors. Please let me known what the error message
is? Which repository are you using?

I think a good starting point for you model could be the gearstick
model.

Hi Soren,
the repository i´m using is 6.

ERROR(SCR.PRS9) :
Repository.6.beta\BRep\Aalborg\Leg3D\LegCal1.any(14) :
‘MusParCalSide’ : Unresolved object
This is the error message I get when I change the include file to the
one without muscles, like i prescribed in the last mail.
The gearstick model is the one in which i tried to blank the coor.
system and the markers. The coordinate system is no problem anymore
but when i set Radius = 0 in the DawSettings not all markers
disappear. There are still some in the backside muscles and in the
pelvis. Where in the program can i find them? I only want to see the
bones and no other parts of the model. There is also a green part of
the deltoid which stays if i set DrawOnOff =0 for the muscles. Where
can i find these parts? Best regards, Maren

Hi Maren

The unresolved object is related to the muscle calibration. When the
muscles is excluded from the model, their calibration should also be
excluded. The calibration is used for adjusting the tendon lengths
of the muscles when the three element hill model is being used.

In the main file you will find an include file like:

#include “…\BRep\Aalborg\BodyModels\FullBodyModel\CalibrationS
equence.any”

please exclude this file when running the model without the muscles,
it should solve the unresolved object problem.

To get rid of the remaining blue spheres on the back please exclude
the file “contactpoints.any” from the
file “SpineNoMuscles.root.any”, all files are in the directory
Brep/Aalborg/spine

The green points at the shoulder is an artificial segment that is
used for connecting the different branches of the deltoid muscle.
It is defined in the file “ArtificalRakeForDeltoidMuscle.any” in the
directory BRep/Aalborg/Arm3d/.
If you would like this to be invisible please search for the
definition of the following variable “DrwRadius” and set it to zero,
this should remove the green spheres.

Best regards
