WeightTransitionTime

Hi:

I have one question about the WeightTransitionTime.
I’ve got a C3D file, in which one marker is lost in a short period of time. I searched for several solutions and I found that if I set the WeightTransitionTime into 0 it runs, as opposed to if I set this value into 0.1 that it appears an error like this: The values in Ts must be monotonically increasing

Is that ok, to set it into 0? or, do I have to do anything more?

Thank you very much

Pedro

Hi Pedro,

If you marker is only away for one time frame a transition time of 0.1 may result in the error you get i think.

This is because the gap is much smaller that the transition time you are using, so genrally speaking the transition time can not be bigget than the gap, then it may create this error.

Hi Soren:

I have set the transition time into 0.001 and the error doesn’t appear. But it appears another error: Kinematic analysis failed in time step 0. So here I set the transition time into 0 and it works.
Is this ok?

Thank you
Regards
Pedro

Hi Pedro,

I guess it is ok it will create a sharp transition between having the marker in or out.

Please check the acceleration of the segment which the marker drives and
ensure there are no peaks in relation to this.
