new Anybody user, EOF unexpected

Last week I got AnyBody for testing and now I´m fighting with starter
problems. I´ve done the Training from the getting started tutorial,
but what I really need are complete human modells, especially the
shoulder. Moving the bones in another starting position is no problem,
if all degrees of freedom are defined but I´m not able to mask the
marker points or coordinate systems for example. If I change the
definitions in the AnyDraw-files nothing happens or I get many failure
messages about unexpected or unresolved objects. And what means “EOF
unexpected” ? Since half an hour I can´t load any model and I don´t
know what I´ve done. Can AnyBody help me?
Best Regards, Maren

Hello Maren and welcome to the group!

EOF means “End of File”. The error message you get is because the
model ends before it is semantically terminated. This is usually
because you have more ‘{’ than ‘}’ in the model.

It can be difficult to see where you have missed and ending brace, so
a good tip is to press Ctrl-A inside the editor window to mark all
text and subsequently press Alt-F8 to re-indent the model. This will
indent all the lines according to the level of braces. This usually
makes it easy to detect where the error is.

The drawing of coodinate systems and other stuff in the repository
models is controlled from the file DrawSettings.any, which is usually
in the application directory (ARep). It is better not to mess with the
drawing definitions inside Brep, because they are common to all the
applications.

Best regards,
John
