New obstacle for muscle wrapping

Hi,

I would like to create the own obstacle for muscle wrapping. Is it possible? How can I find and eventually change the source code of parametric surface that is already defined (such as ellipsoid, cylinder and sphere)?

Thank you very much for your answer.

Best regards
Linda

Hi Linda,

Do I get you right that you would like to change wrapping surfaces of the BodyModel?
To find these, you can navigate through the model tree, e.g. double click on a muscle which brings you to the object in the model tree. There, you can follow the link to wrapping surfaces used for this wrapping muscle and go to the construction using the link in the object description. There is also a short video about navigation in AMS on the Anybody Youtube channel.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

the idea of my question is absolutely another. I am sorry I did not explain it enough.

The AMS uses three obstacles (sphere, cylinder and ellipsoid) for muscle wrapping, am I right? Now I would like to use another geometrical shape for wrapping. Simply I would like to add new obstacle (especially torus) to find the muscle trajectory. Thus I would like to find the source code of parametric surface that is already defined in AMS to find how to define my torus obstacle. Is it possible?

Thank you very much.

Linda

Hi Linda,

unfortunately it is not possible to add new wrapping surfaces to AMS. But a torus is already implemented in the software and will be available in the next release. A beta of 6.1 will be ready soon and the torus is waiting to be tested

I will get back to you about the beta.

Best regards,
Daniel
