I have simple question want to ask. What’s the detail calculation
equation of AnyMuscleModel3E muscle model?

Hi BC,

This is a hard question to answer, and the blame is on me, I am
afraid. I am lacking behind on writing a paper about the muscle
model. Unfortunately it is very difficult to explain it without a
whole lot of mathematics. But I’ll try to go a bit of the way:

The muscle model contains:

1. a contractile element with length-strength and length-velovity
relationships.

2. a parallel-elastic element with nonlinear elasticity

3. a serial-elastic element with nonlinear elasticity

1 and 2 are placed at a certain pennation angle that has a baseline
value specified by the user and changes with the contration.

So far the model is just like those you will find in the standard
literature. The difference is that published muscle models take an
activation sgnal as input and produce a corresponding force output.
Our model on the contrary takes length and contraction velocity as
input and produces as output a strength, which is subsequently used
in the muscle recruitment.

This means that our model is to some extent the inverse of a normal
muscle model due to the fact that we do inverse dynamics. This
requires a numerical solution of a set of nonlinear equations, and
it is a bit much to explain in detail here.
