Hello everyone,
Main topic to my research is the risk of injuring ACL ligament during jumping sports. What I'm trying to do for the past few weeks is to insert ACL ligament to our modeling system but the data that I get is far from matching all the previous cadaver analysis. My question is about the basics of constructing the knee in our model. Is it possible to get an access to the archives where I will be able to see how was the joint stiffness replicated without inserting main ligaments (ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL) or joint capsule? Maybe then I will be able to project what I need to insert in the model to get a reliable data?
Hi
Welcome to the AnyScript Forum!
You can read more about our leg model over here. From the link you can also find sources of the publications and datasets that were used to make the model. I am not sure if there is any ligament related data over there because I haven't looked in detail.
I would also suggest you look through our list of publications tagged with knee. I am sure you will find some publications that will inspire you on how to model the ligament properties without actually constructing all the ligament models.
I can also suggest a couple of models. We have a knee simulator model in AMMR and the knee grand challenge model on our GitHub repository.
Best regards,
Dave
Thank You for your response,
I will look into it,
Kind regards
