Plug-in-gait_MultiTrial_StandingRef with flexible thoracic model, incorporating simple muscles+ligaments+non linear disc+soft rhythm for all 3 spine region
I am simulating several dozens of walking mocap data from 60 people to look at the loading in the spine. The trials were recorded when participants walked about 10-12 steps across our gait lab but the files were trimmed to just the middle where we have 2 force plates where each FP would coincide with each of the feet (e.g. FP1-left foot; FP2-right foot). The files were trimmed to have 2 gait cycles (e.g. left HS - left HS - left HS or right HS - right HS - right HS), so there will be portions of the files (beginning and the end) from the trials without FP data (as we only have 2 FPs).
Almost all simulations were successful. However, the loading in the vertebral spine (in all levels) seems to be taking off at the end of the C3D file for ALL of the simulations (see photo below) instead of just continue the cyclic loading since the participants were still walking afterwards!
The graphs shows axial loading at L3 level during 2 gait cycles (first 50% task completion is first gait cycle and the last 50% task completion is the second gait cycle) for about 40 odd people. The same phenomenon happened in all other vertebral levels too
So, I am just wondering if there is some sort of setting that I may have missed that could cause/prevent this? An additional context: my FirstFrame and LastFrame settings for the C3D files has +/-5 frames as buffer.
Thank you.
