Swimming data/model (hip) for analysis

Hello all,

My name is Simon and we are now studying on biomechanics and how the powered exoskeleton could assist in swimming for human augmentation.

Could any of you give me some advice how to get the hip joint torque.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Simon,

To read out the hip torque you would need to do the following:

  1. Obtain the motion for swimming
  2. Apply the loads from the water to the human
  3. Run the model
  4. Read out the hip torque, it can be found in the SelectedOutput folder in the HumanModel

The first two steps are difficult … and requires experimental data.
