First of all, it would be nice to specify which version of the repository you are using - the answer may depend on the version of the AMMR. But for now I will presume it is the latest one.
Normally, the disc stiffness (if switched on using #define BM_TRUNK_DISC_STIFFNESS_NORMAL ON) is defined as a cumulative stiffness of the intervertebral disc and ligaments spanning over this spinal functional unit (I cannot check at this point, but very likely the values came from //Schmidt et al. The Stiffness of lumbar spinal motion segments with a high intensity zone in the anulus fibrosus). If ligaments are introduced at the same time - a fraction of the value is used to represent the stiffness.
