I am using the lowergaitextremity model to obtain some muscle and joint force data for a biomechanical study. When I looked at the resultant of the hip joint reaction and compared it to Bergmann et al, I noticed that the there is a higher reaction at toe off than at heal strike, which seems to be the wrong way round. Is this a characteristic of the individual gait trial of the model, or can be the recruitment solver be changed to alter this.

There is a lot of individual variation on the hip reaction forces.
If you look at more samples from Bergmann et al. you will also be able to find subjects which has the highest force at toe off…
