Spine curvature

Dear Support,

Hello.
My name is Naoko. I am researching human’s natural posture in various
scenes of daily life for the
product development in Japan. And I have started to use Anybody.

I would like to make “a stoop human model”. This means the side
figure of spine curvature is too rounded.
I need only initial posture curved, do not need the Driver to change
spine curvature gradually.

I found some messages about this theme in the list, #217 position
vertebrae, #2381 Re: Spine Model - SRMatrixes, etc., but it’s not
enough to do my model.

I would like to know how to make the model which has original spine
curvature. Do you have any samples have original spine curvature, and
would give me any suggestions ?

Dear Naoko,

There are basically three approaches to changing the spine posture in
the full body models in the repository:

  1. Modify the ThoraxPelvis angle in the mannequin.any file. This will
    influence the initial posture of the model

  2. Modify the spinal rhtythm, i.e. the presumed relationship between
    the lumber vertebral angles. This is probably for expert users.

  3. Switch the spine rhythm off and create indiviaul drivers for each
    vertebral angle.

The best choice of solution depends on what kind of information you
have about the posture you want to model. Do you just have a
qualitative desire to create some form of stooping, or do you have
detailed flouroscopic information about the position of each vertebra?
