TLEM

Dear all,

I have been modelling with the new TLEM repository, the models are
running well but I am having problems with setting the initial
positions. Currently the I am setting up the initial pos with the
mannequin file (as normal). But the optmodel seems to be perminantly
20 degrees bilateral hip flexion out of place. This is resolved once
the GOM application runs but makes setting the initial positions a lot
harder due to the opt model obstructing the view of the
MarkerPlacement Model. I can’t find the source of the problem, any
help would be greatly appreciated.

best wishes

Peter

Hey Peter,

The model is flipped 24 degrees in fact on the hip, this is the way TLEM model
has been done.
When you run the MarkerModelStudy outcomment the 2 rest of the study WITH the
include humanmodel in the optsudy.
When you run the markerplacementmodel outcomment the other two also, as well as
for the optmodel just oucomment the rest of the two.
Doing this you will get one model instead of two.
Regarding the TLEM Model it was hard to catch up with the markers a bit since
there was present just blue markers and therefore you cannot see what is going
on with original markers so I went to DrawMarker.any and played a bit with it
till i can see markers… initially there are set sooo small and even not
showing them.
If you check also MarkerMover.any make sure the the anydrawnode is on.
There was also one mistake in coding where they were using absolute reference
instead of relative reference which can affect the model.
You will need to have a look in the Body library in legTD and change the
absolute reference to relative reference. I dont remember what exact file is it
because all my files in legTD are in relative reference.
I think Soren will know the exact file for it.

Other than this the above steps makes the model much much better to visualize
and interpret.

Regards

Hi Mike,

thanks a lot for the advice, good to hear you’re doing well in Denmark!! I look
forward to seeing your new foot/ankle model in the near future.

best wishes
