Muscle activity problem

I am performing gait analysis using Mocap model.

By the way, in the gait analysis, the muscle activity pattern of the rectus femoris is reversed.

I just added the markers to the basic Mocap model and performed the analysis.
For other muscles, this was similar to the basic gait pattern, although it differs from emg data in this experiment.
However, only the femoral rectus produces very different results.

This not only shows in my analysis results, but also the gait analysis provided by the tutorial, and the results of other people’s analysis.

Is there anything I have not considered in walking analysis?

Thank you.

Hi,

First, I attached a new modified version of your model in order to enable the 3E hill type muscles. Your uploaded model still uses our simple type muscle.

I guess that you made the plot of right leg’s rectus femoris muscle activation.

But when I see the plot of the left leg’s rectus femoris muscle activation, it looks similar to your EMG measurements.

It is always difficult to say whether it is correct or not whenever you see some difference between EMG and AnyBody’s muscle activations.

And of course rectus femoris is one of quadriceps muscles such as vastus lateralis, vastus medialis and vastus intermedius.

And for me, it is strange if you see the inconsistency only in rectus femoris.

Moonki
